Table ronde avec la High Court of England and Wales (Business and Property Courts)

Le 9 juillet 2020, les chambres commerciales internationales du tribunal de commerce et de la cour d'appel de Paris, d'une part, et la Cour Commerciale de Londres d'autre part, ont échangé sur la manière dont les juridictions commerciales des deux côtés de la Manche ont géré le suivi des affaires en cours et la tenue des audiences pendant le confinement, et les leçons à tirer de cette période pour la conduite des procédures commerciales dans le futur. Ces échanges, qui se sont déroulés par visio-conférence autour de deux tables rondes présidées par Sir Geoffrey Vos, Chancellor of the High Court, et Monsieur François Ancel, Président de la CCIP-CA, suivant l'ordre du jour ci-joint ont été riches et instructifs et abouti au constat commun que la crise sanitaire a renforcé la nécessité de disposer d'outils technologiques efficaces et adaptés de nature à répondre aux défis posés par la pandémie et aux attentes des parties dans la conduite future des procédures.

On 9 July 2020, the International Commercial Chambers of the Paris Commercial Court and Court of Appeal on the one hand and the London Commercial Court on the other hand exchanged views on how the commercial courts on both sides of the Channel have managed the handling of ongoing cases and the conduct of hearings during the lockdown, and the lessons to be learnt from this period for the conduct of commercial proceedings in the future. These exchanges, which took place by videoconference around two round tables chaired by Sir Geoffrey Vos, Chancellor of the High Court, and Mr François Ancel, President of the ICCP-CA, according to the attached agenda, were rich and instructive and led to the common observation that the health crisis has reinforced the need for effective and adapted technological tools to meet the challenges raised by the pandemic and the expectations of the parties in the future conduct of proceedings.
